Alvin and David speak at churches and schools. Libraries and book clubs also welcome them, along with historical societies. They're available for Juneteenth and Black History Month programs. Your talk can cover the novel or the documents behind it or both. The papers explain what an abstract of title contains and how a widow held land in 1830s Arkansas. They follow the court's handling of her estate in 1857 through the creation of a neighborhood in 1929. Alvin brings the papers with him.
